Obituary of Tampa Boggs

Tampa Howell Boggs, 96, of Franklin, TN and formerly of Lynchburg passed away Sunday, September 9, 2012 in Williamson Medical Center, Franklin, TN. Born in Bedford County on February 20, 1916 she was a daughter of the late Oliver Howell and Teadye Leftwich Howell and was the widow of Harold Phillip Boggs. Mrs. Boggs was a member of West Lynchburg Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Linda B. Norman and her husband, Donald of Franklin, TN. Two grandchildren, Dennis Norman and his wife, Katie of Charlotte, NC and Janice Norman of Nashville, TN. Two great grandchildren, Drake and Allison Norman. Two sisters, Edith Eubanks and Dorothy Swindell both of Chesapeake. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Thornton, Oliver, Ewert, Artwin and Gilcus A Celebration of Tampa?s Life will be held 11:00 AM Friday, September 14, 2012 at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel with the Rev. Herb Maynard officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
