Obituary of Iris Jordan Lipscomb

Iris Jordan Lipscomb, 91, of Lynchburg, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Guggenheimer Health & Rehab.  

Born February 16, 1931 in Charlotte Court House, VA, she was a daughter of the late Monroe Benjamin and Rosa Carwile Jordan. She was a self-employed antique dealer. Iris loved animals, baking and spending time with her family. 

Iris is survived by one son, Arthur “Art” Monroe Lipscomb and his wife, Bonnie, of Forest; two grandchildren, Matthew Lipscomb and his wife, Meghan, of Colorado and Michael Lipscomb and his wife, Nicole, of Goode, VA; four great grandchildren, Roman Monroe Lipscomb, Isla Marie Lipscomb, Leila Elise Lipscomb and Theodore “Teddy” Hershel Lipscomb. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Eva J. Quick, Ellen J. White and one brother Clyde Jordan. 

A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Monty Fox officiating.
