Obituary of Betty Litchford Miles

Betty Litchford Miles, 83, of Rustburg, went home to be with her Lord, on Friday, February 1, 2019.

Betty was the daughter of the late Arthur and Virginia Litchford. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Alvin Miles and brother, C.D. Litchford.  Betty is survived by her two daughters; Susan Powell and her husband Terrell, Evington, VA, Gloria Tweedy and her husband Marc, Forest, VA; three grandchildren, Jason Tweedy and his wife Bridget, Forest, VA, Amanda Elliott and her husband Mark, Lynch Station, VA, Holly (Ham) Dellheim, Lynchburg; five great-grandchildren, Briella Tweedy, Barrett Tweedy, Brittyn Tweedy, Braeleigh Tweedy and Addison Elliott.

She was a member of New Chapel Baptist Church, Rustburg, VA. Betty retired from Lynchburg Training Center. She was a loving mom, loved the Lord, never met a stranger and loved spending time with her friends and family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday February 5, 2019, at New Chapel Baptist Church, 1977 New Chapel Rd, Rustburg, VA., with the Rev. Tim Dooley, officiating.  Relatives and friends are welcome for visitation from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church.  Burial will be in New Chapel Church Cemetery.
