Obituary of Edward Thornton Reynolds

Edward Thornton Reynolds, 87, of Lynchburg, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Lynchburg General Hospital after a short illness. He was the husband of the late Catherine Elliott Reynolds.

Born September 16, 1931, in Lynchburg, VA, he was a son of the late Garland and Madge Reynolds. He was a retired truck driver and served in the United States Marine Corps.

He is survived by two sons, Shawn Reynolds (Frieda) and Brandon Reynolds (Karen); one daughter Karen Gayle Reynolds Siever; five grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; niece, Sherry Reynolds-Hart and numerous great-nieces and nephews He was predeceased in death by three brother, Russell Lee Reynolds, John Samuel “Sammy” Reynolds and Ernest Lewis Reynolds.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 6, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Fort Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Tyler Scarlett officiating.
