Obituary of Marie Lavin Coyle

On Saturday, November 24, 2018, Marie Coyle, born Marie Lavin June 6, 1927, passed peacefully at The Carrington nursing home in Lynchburg, Virginia. Prior to her stay at The Carrington, she enjoyed living in the  wooded Lynchburg, Virginia home  of her son and daughter-in-law, James Coyle and Sylvia Clark.

 

Marie leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, William and James Coyle; and three grandchildren, Haley and Ryan Coyle (William and Lynn), and Ashley Coyle (James and Sylvia).

 

Marie always had a special place in her heart for nature, especially the birds, squirrels, chipmunks and deer that frequented her son's Lynchburg home. She was always at peace reading her favorite books while watching the birds feed outside her bedroom window. She loved her time in her Medford Lakes, New Jersey log cabin while raising her two sons, and always remembered fondly their camping trips to Lake Absegami and other special places in the New Jersey pine barrens.

 

A private family celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11:00 am at the home of James Coyle where she enjoyed the last years of her life.

 

The family wishes to thank The Carrington and Westminster Hospice, and all of their loving staff for their support and care during the last several months.
